Poetry in Motion: Mizu-manju making, masu making, sake brewery and tasting tour in Ogaki

Ogaki, long known as the "City of Water," is a town where pure spring water and eternal history coexist in harmony. During the Edo period, it flourished as a post town on the Tokaido road, and even today traces of that time remain everywhere. Walking through the town, you will encounter famous spring water springs everywhere. Among them, along the Mizumon River, famous as the "place where the narrow road to the deepest depths is completed," you can enjoy the picturesque scenery while following in the footsteps of Matsuo Basho.
While making use of the ancient techniques of water transportation and sake brewing, you can experience a culture that has been nurtured together with water through traditional craft experiences such as making mizu manju (a type of jelly) and masu (a wooden box made with sake).
This is a town with a unique charm where the stories woven by water are closely linked to the lives of its people. Enjoy a special experience in this water city where tradition and innovation intersect.
